Liv Romano was recently highlighted by Everyday Jams in a feature exploring the story behind her latest single, “Ghost Town” — a song born from walking away from a version of herself that never felt true, and finally sounding like the artist she was always meant to be.
The piece traces Liv’s path back to an earlier chapter making pop music, a project she eventually realized wasn’t hers to keep chasing. Rather than force it, she started over. As she put it to the outlet:
“This perfectly encapsulates the sound and the artist that I want to be.”
At the heart of “Ghost Town” is a simple, grounding idea — that no matter what you lose, the people you love are enough. In one of the feature’s most striking moments, Liv explained:
“If everything fails, if you don’t have anything, if you still have the person or the people that you love around you, you’re still rich in some way.”
Everyday Jams frames the song as a statement of trust — written in a single session with close collaborator Chance, someone Liv credits with pushing her toward ideas she wouldn’t have found alone: “He sees a potential in me that I don’t see.” The result, she says, is the song she’s most proud of yet.
