Liv Romano was recently highlighted by Gen Admission and writer Megan Hall in an artist spotlight exploring her rise as a pioneer of “fairy folk” — a genre built on raw emotion, natural imagery, and a devoted online community she calls “the pond.”
Hall described discovering Liv’s music through Spotify’s “Smart Shuffle” feature, calling her “the female Hozier” and pointing to lyrics like “I’ll love you ’til we’re bones, ’til roots crawl through our clothes.” As Hall put it:
